PGA Master Professional
Kevin Compare PGA Master Professional is a highly accomplished PGA Member. Currently serving as a PGA of America Faculty Member in Education in Frisco, TX, Kevin is dedicated to sharing his expertise with aspiring golf professionals. He has also been an instructor at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, FL since 2004. Prior to that, he held various positions as the Director of Instruction since 1995. Kevin is a lead instructor at the PGA of America’s Playing and Teaching Workshops and has participated in numerous National Workshops.
Kevin is also renowned for his impressive trick shot exhibitions, with over 1700 performances in 46 states and 10 countries. Additionally, he has been nominated three times as one of Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 Teachers” in America. With over 50,000 hours of instruction since 1981, Kevin has worked with students of all ages, from 18 months old to 95. He has also had the privilege of working with two World Golf Hall of Fame members. Kevin’s passion for golf and his ability to inspire and teach others make him a highly respected figure in the industry.
PGA Class A Members
Originally from New London, Wisconsin, Jesse discovered his passion for golf at the age of 14 when introduced to the game by his father. After playing in high school and gaining experience at his home golf course, he decided to pursue a career in the industry. Jesse enrolled in New Mexico State University’s Professional Golf Management Program, where he had the opportunity to learn at various facilities across Wisconsin, Minnesota, California, and North Dakota. In 2017, he earned his PGA (Class A) Membership and worked as a First Assistant Golf Professional in North Dakota for four years. It was during this time that Jesse discovered his passion for teaching others. Jesse’s teaching approach emphasizes rhythm, balance, and patience to simplify the golf swing and reduce unnecessary force. By helping golfers find their natural swing and play with freedom and confidence, Jesse aims to enhance their overall experience and enjoyment of the game.
Eddy Brooks is a PGA (Class A) Member and Teaching Professional at WestRidge G.C. His professional playing and coaching experience spans over 25 years. Prior to joining WestRidge, Eddy worked for renowned golf instructor Hank Haney for 15 years.
Known for his patience, understanding and friendly demeanor, his expertise is holistic performance coaching and covers all areas of golf including putting, short game, and full swing, course and mental management.
His philosophy is to keep instruction simple and easy to understand so that a fun atmosphere is created. He works with each student to design a personal improvement program to help them achieve their golfing goals.
Born and raised in Hacienda Heights, CA just outside of Los Angeles, Gabe’s grandfather introduced him to the great game of golf when he was 8 years old and he continues to enjoy the game today. Gabe played junior golf in Southern California alongside Tiger Woods. After success as a junior, Gabe earned an Associates degree from the Professional Golfers Career College and then on to earn his PGA (Class A) Membership in 2012. While working as a Head Professional in Salinas, CA, he was voted by his peers as the 2019 Monterey Bay Area Chapter PGA Golf Professional of the Year.
Gabe has been teaching golf since 2002 and earned Certification in Teaching and Coaching in 2016. Having taught golf at a variety of facilities from GolfTec to Private and Public courses has allowed Gabe to refine his teaching philosophy — students should have fun and understand the “why” they are being asked to work on certain fundamentals and skills. Gabe’s top priority is to understand his student’s goals and tailor a lesson plan to best accomplish their goals. Gabe looking forward to helping you with your game.
PGA Associate Professionals
Mark Walther is a member of the Northern Texas Section PGA as PGA PGM Associate. He has been with Westridge Golf Course for over two years and has been the Golf Shop Merchandising Manager for the past year. Mark is an avid golfer, with a passion for helping to enhance the golf experience for anyone new to the game or someone just looking for a “tune-up”. Mark is currently enrolled in the PGA PGM Program working toward earning his PGA Membership to continue his growth in the golf industry.
Ian, a PGA PGM Associate in the Northern Texas PGA section, assumed the position of Head Golf Professional at Westridge Golf Course in June of 2021. Involved in the game of game from age five, Ian has over 15 years of experience in the industry, including six years of private instruction and junior development. He has led various PGA Junior League teams to help grow the game and promote continued involvement for juniors to become High School and Collegiate golfers.
His teaching philosophy starts with promoting the pre-swing fundamentals in all levels of players. When the student is set up in the correct position, this allows them to make the proper body movements and swing their swing. Ian is also a Certified Titleist Fitter and believes having equipment fit for you will lead to your best overall performance.
Joseph is a Northern Texas Section PGA PGM Associate and works at Westridge Golf Course as Golf Shop Attendant and Outside Service Supervisor. He has over 8 years of teaching experience and his teaching philosophy with his students Is to Keep it Simple.
Joseph attended Grandview College in Des Moines, Iowa where he was a member of the golf team. With several years of experience working at a variety of golf courses that are focused on growing the game, Joseph is thrilled to be at Westridge Golf Course. Joseph is currently enrolled in the PGA PGM Program working toward earning his PGA Membership as he continues his journey.
Cameron Jackson, a passionate golfer, has been honing his skills on the green since the tender age of three. He earned an associates degree in Golf Management from Keiser University in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, Cameron’s dedication to the sport is unwavering. Currently, he is an Associate in the PGA Professional Golf Management program. Cameron is also an associate instructor at ImpactZone Golf. He firmly believes that golf offers life lessons and skills that extend beyond the course, Cameron strives to inspire and benefit all who pursue this lifelong sport.
Tanner Dice
Tanner Dice is a PGA Associate with over 20 years of competitive golf experience. He was a Division I Collegiate Golfer at California State University Long Beach. Prior to moving to Texas, Tanner provided private instruction in California. In 2023, he coached the PGA Jr League at Sky Creek Ranch in Keller and the Champions Golf Training Junior Development Program at Woodbridge Golf Club. Tanner is dedicated to teaching and coaching, and he creates a positive learning environment for golfers of all ages and skill levels.
Tyler grew up in Rowlett, Texas, in a golfing family, which is where his love of the game began. He currently lives in Little Elm with his wife, Lisa, and their daughter Parker.
Tyler was a standout junior golfer in the metropolitan area. He continued his playing career at Oklahoma Baptist University. In 2012, he began his professional teaching career at Westridge and also worked as a tournament administrator for US Kids. He continues to coach both adult and student athlete individual lessons and junior development classes.
Tyler utilizes his wide array of experiences, strong playing and coaching background, and love of the game to provide an unparalleled golf experience.
